Re: Ebay Listing

Discussion in 'Shelby Mustang List' started by James G Cowles, Dec 14, 2005.

  1. Live auctions are no different than online in the fact that they still arent
bending anyones arms to bid higher, whether its private or not. You still
have to make the bid. One thing about Ebay is you can still do your due
diligence on the car and make the decision whether to buy it or not after
you look at it. Even though its technically a contract when you win the
auction, the worst thing that can happen is you dont agree with the seller
when you inspect the car and he leaves you bad feedback. Both parties know
to try to enforce the contract the lawyers bills would kill you and i doubt
if any ever go to court. At an auction like Barretts, you have to have a
line of credit and you are obligated to buy if you are the last raised hand.
Oh well Ive rambled too much. Dont worry about private auctions, they
serve a purpose and like Colin said, tell the buyer hell get a list of the
    bidders if he wins
