  1. Nope, you did a fine job of explaining how the proxie bidding works. It is possible to see when another bid is made by looking at the times that the high bid by the same bidder rises but that can get confusing.

    I am wondering too, if Golden could not be a shill who has put in his proxie bid at whatever price the seller really wants to let the car go at. The only problem w/ a shill is the vendor does get stung with the final value fee as there is no way they can go to eBay and say they set it up.
