In 1991 because of other sound investments, art, real estate and cars, he was in a bind and sold the car for $42K I am not being skeptical, but everything cycles and I am afraid that these prices will also. Different times now, though, as in 1989 - 1991 the folks buying these cars then were from out of the country, speculative investors, etc. etc. This time around the guys that are buying are enthusistis that are keeping what they are buying, thus, making my job of finding these great cars that much harder, thus, allowing me to charge more for pristine "no stories" cars. I think everyone knows what will happen to the old shelby prices (1965 - 1970) when the new shelby mustang comes out in January (!) "gotta have a new one and an old one to match!!" I will be there with 350k GT 500 KR CV's and 400K 1967 GT 500 fastbacks for all to see and buy.
