Hi guys, A funny postscript--a few days ago I had dropped off a 1-inch carb spacer at the machine shop nestled in the back of the NAPA store, having it drilled and tapped for a vacuum port for a power brake booster (this on behalf of my friend Geoff in the UK). So I went in there today to pick it up, and when I asked the garrolous machinist what I owed him, he just snarled, "Get it the hell off my counter, it's taking up space!" And then he grinned. This is the second time I've been in that shop in the last two months, and both times they performed the work for free because they know what kind of cars I drive. I told him that the Cobra was pretty well sorted, and that once it was finally dialed in I'd stop by and give rides to the kids who work in there. He told me, "I heard that you're already giving rides. Mike at the Firestone shop can't stop talking about it!" Apparently, he went and called his buddies and told them about his little adventure in my car, and each of them told two friends, and so on, and in 24 hours word sailed around through every performance and automotive shop in town! :>) Mike
