  1. A quick question

SAAC does not take money for the swap meet spots or the big vendors like the group selling the "continuation" 68"s??

    Jon, Jim, and all......

I have been reading the posts and I can tell you that I have been to many/all
of the SAAC conventions, over the past 16 years, and I do agree with Jim that
they have changed. Obviously the climbing values of the cars play a big part
in that. However, what also needs to be realized is, that aside from the
Concours car show, the open track event is the only other money generating event
for SAAC, whereas the popular vote car show is not.

My swap meet space was NOT free. I paid by the frontage feet. Dunno on the
big guys in the air conditioned trailers, but I'm sure somebody collected...

As I saw so few of the general public attending, I kind of wonder if this
was really the correct venue for them the "addended serial number
replicars"? I also have to wonder about whether just anybody can add four
digits and a dash to the back end of a serial number? Doesn't show on the
title even with a real car...

One things for sure, Carroll's heart fund made more money than my swap
    space....and in less time!

    all the best,
