My car, #1229 was a Hertz rental that still had the cast iron intake on the original engine. I purchased a S7MS intake a few years ago for my 'performance' motor. It was a Cobra lettered version made by Weiand. It has 4 individual holes as opposed to an open plenum. The carburetor opening is a give away as to reproduction. The 4 hole version is a repro, while the original had 2 holes. There are probably other ways to distinguish a repro from orig, hopefully others will contribute. Would this be an aftermarket intake? When was it available? The intake appears to be identical to the small block COBRA intake. Thanks, Larry B _____ Do you Yahoo!?
