I do not see timing as an ethical issue for executing a real bid. I do not like the principle of having to bid only at the last minute. But like most of us we do get busy and forget or get distracted. I can not tell how many items I would have bought had I been free timewise. At least two in the past month that I really really wanted. One I was called away before I could set a snipe, the other ended a day earlier than I remembered (That one was an O SH*T. Not only did the item go for at least half of what I would have paid, I ended up spending more money for a similar part that is not the original Ford one. I even contacted the buyer just in case he bought the item for resale (no luck). If you leave a bid, then you are likely to pay more. It is not always that way, nor is it fair. It just happens to be. Sniping either manually or with a program has its benefits and downside. If you bid and it is not enough, you will not have another chance to re-evaluate the situation. Ebay is not a typical auction that you can leave a bid without being manipulated. While many people are solely bidding because they want an item, or are willing to pay a certain amount. There are people who are fishing to raise bids. We have seen it with cars that met reserve that were re-listed. Lee 66 # 869 69 # 2055
