Regarding the redline Hotwheels Mustang that sold for over $20,000.00. That car is one of the "holy grails" in Hotwheels collecting circles. I dabble a bit collecting these and in late 1999, a single Hotwheels car (from 1969) sold for slightly over $70,000.00! There was a big debate on a Hotwheels collecting board whether it is better to spend $20k on the Hotwheels car or a real classic Mustang.... and some of the Hotwheels collectors actually said they would rather get the Hotwheels.....!?! Jim
IMHO, no property taxes, no registration fees, no gas, no oil, no sound of solid lifters, no smell of burning fossil fuel....no fun! But Stan, no accidents, no arguing with the first born about borrowing the car, no insurance hikes and who cares about the cost of gasoline? And you can play with it regardless of weather as well. Just a thought.
