<DIV>In the past, Carroll Shelby has not been consistant in procecting the name Shelby, the Cobra name, the Cobra design or the design of the 1965-1970 Shelby Mustang. So what is going on now with Shelby Enterprises? I'd still like to know the full story from "their" side.</DIV>

<DIV><FONT color=#0000ff size=4>There is no question that the name Shelby conjures up a certain image of a certain type of vehicle. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV>Considering the fact that over useage of any name results in it becoming common property. e.g. the word "frig", a contraction of the word Frigidaire became so common, that every refirigerator today is called a "frig.", what would you do if your name was CS?</DIV>
<DIV>Would you ban ALL use of your name and reproduction of replica or clone cars that mimic yours?</DIV>
<DIV>Would you allow certain licenced replicas or clones that pay you a royalty for use of your name?</DIV>
<DIV>How would you decide which ones meet your criteria?</DIV>
<DIV>Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but without getting "your pound of flesh", in other words royalty payments, would you allow it to happen, or step in and try to control it?</DIV>
<DIV>Would you be happy with someone else using your name and product replica making money without permission from you? Would you feel you had been cheated out of your piece of the pie?</DIV>
<DIV>There seems to be no question that Shelby has allowed all this to happen by inaction on his, or his advisers part. If you were CS, would you try to correct that error, and if so, how would you do it?</DIV>
<DIV>I'm neither for or against what ole Shel is doing. I just find it very interesting and wonder how you might handle the situation if you were CS.</DIV>
    <DIV>I wonder what I would do? Hmmmmmmmmmmm.</DIV>
    <DIV>Food for thought.</DIV>
