If you do not use a snipe program then you are costing yourself money. I
often throw in a bid to keep track of an item. If I am very serious about the
item, I set up a snipe. There are times that I lose track of an item or time
because of being busy. Those are the times I wish I just assigned a value
to the item and set it up to snipe.
I missed an item I was really interested in recently, but cest la vie.
If funds were unlimited would have bought a few other items recently too.

Do yourself a favor and get a link to an auction snipe program and use it.
There are free ones that will execute a bid with 10 to 20 seconds left. For
a fee you can get down to 2 to 4 seconds before the item ends.
