    There was a SA employee interview article in an old issue of "The Shelby American" about this very thing, might be the same guy you spoke with, what's his name? I'll try to dig through my SA's and look for it...

    An easy trick to drilling the holes to match the pins is to mark the ends of the pins with a grease pencil and then eye-ball the placement to the panel, then press hard enough to leave the imprint. That's what I'd imagine those guys doing back in the shop.

    A template just makes more sense. much quicker than eye balling it and trying to keep it straight. [IMHO], Just another case of what should have been done and what actually got done.
