Is anyone intending on making "BlueStreak" tires for my '66 Hertz?
These tires are almost impossible to get.

What are you guys using for Concourse restorations IF you can't find used or NOS?

Ditto for Blue Dots; are there any NOS out there anywhere?

Try some MoPar web sites. Those little Blue Streaks also came on Cudas, 6.95 x 14, raised white letters. Had a set in 1966 and they were recapped at least one for autocrossing. SEE Y'ALL

  4. Only issue is that the cuda blue streaks are different from the ones used on 66's :(

Have one or two of those.

  5. As Jeff S indicated the Mopar ones are different . The factory 14" 66
GT350 tire does not have a blue line around the sidewall. The Mopars had
the blue line. You can buy a 6.95 repro powercushion tire and color
the red or white line black and it looks close. The black walls are not
reproed . I had a set of NOS 6.95 X14 blackwalls on my sapphire blue
66GT350 #2330 that I sold last week at Russo and Steele . The tires
had a very vintage and correct looking appearance. They are the right
size and the right MFG so by SAAC div II or MCA trailed concours
guidelines they would be no points off. The 6.95 bluestreaks are a
slightly shorter profile and a little wider tread width then the
powercushion tire just to name a couple of differences. you never hear
of a nice set for sale. I paid a pretty penny from one of our list
members for my show set of bluestreaks a few years back and glad I did
now. I have not heard of a set since. I have a white H car I am
restoring for Div 1 concours that I bought the bluestreaks for. I have
been corresponding with Kelsey tires who is hopefully going to repro
the bluestreaks . John K said it takes about 18 months to bring it to
market if he had everything he needed right then. He didn't at that time
which was Oct 05. He isn't giving up yet but it sounds like it is going
to be at least a year and a half before we see anything. Bob G.

    Bob-
Since you're in communication w/Kelsey, perhaps you may know why on Earth
they re-popped the BlueDots b4 the Bluestreaks. Surely they would have had
more of a market w/the '66 GT350 and (w/slight mods) the MOPAR folks. It
took them quite a long time to tool up for the BlueDots and I wonder if
they're in the black yet, even at $400 apiece.
    Regards, Stan

  8. Jim is right. I asked the same question of John Kelsey some years ago
and the reply was that a mold that was very close was already in use
and so it was much easier to modify the existing mold to complete a
repro of the blue dot first. Bob G

  9. Ive looked into having some Goodyear 65 vintage race tires mad and the cost
is staggering, getting a good deal on the tooling was $22K per size and the
time was almost a year for that . Any one ther want to foot the bill and
    Ill do it?
