Rolling fender inside wheel wells ?

yeah as far as 67 fenders being rolled stock a concourse judge(for 67s)over on the SAACforums confirmed that this was NOT the case....No rolled fenders from ford OR shelby american....A points deduction in concourse if rolled.....Trent

 

My '66 was rolled on all four corners when it was traded-in in '69. I think there's as many people out there that appreciate, if not desire, a car that's not a 100% concours-correct example. If your car is not a candidate for a museum, and your goal is not a perfect restoration, I'd say roll-em at the top and be done with it. The rolling would not be visible to 90+% of any photo seekers and admirers. I have H60-14s on the rear of my car and there's never been any rub; the fronts are G-60s.

 

Contrary to what one may think; rolling the fenders by hand is not all that
hard to do. Patience, and working in small increments, from the top of the
wheel well lip, alternating on each side as far as you want to go down, using
a mallet and bucking pad. I've done a number of rolled fenders and did not
disturb the paint.

 

my friend, who is an original owner of a 68 G.T.500, runs 245-60s on repo 10 spokes. He rolled the tops ( about 8 inches at the top center of arch) with a wooden bat years ago. Doesnt hit at the front will touch slightly at back over a large dip. Im running a 235 , but car still not moveing with own power. I will roll mine as well. A 255 will fit and when rolled off the trailor do a nice job off rolling under the wheel lips. Yes, I learned the hard way. ( low speed no damage, before paint)
