I agree, way to many dollars, over 100 K is out of my ballpark. May I propose a solution? Take a page from Shelby and a page from Saleen, cut into pieces and mix well. Remove and paste this result in your wish book......... Buy a 6 cyl 2005 Mustang Mount two GT lights in the center of the grill. Install the Motorsport hood with air vents similar to the optional 68 blinker hoods from the show car Install a Classic Design Concepts ducktail trunk and quarter extensions Use a Saleen taillight panel blackout with center mounted exhausts Tweek the suspension (it's already great, I've autocrossed one) Add 18 inch old style Americans Finally put a Motorsport Cammer 302 / six speed combo under the hood.... Why didn't Ford think of that?
