Does anyone know the exact dates of the SAAC convention next year?

I've heard NJ Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ. with a backup of VIR if NJ is not complete.

It's a safe bet it will be around the July 4th holiday..:)
...probably 7/4 - 7/6/08...if the track is done.

Can anyone tell me more about the Annual Florida SAAC Event on November 9 & 10, 2007. It is held at the Daytona International Speedway.

    tesgt350,

I did see some info on that on the saac.com site under "events" I think.

It is listed in the Snake Bite but I saw a listing else where that stated it was Go Karts. Just wantering what type of Event it is. If it is an SAAC Mustang & Shelby's Event or something totally different. I dont want to drive all that way to find out I wasted my time and money.

The Florida SAAC region puts on a 2 day affair in conjunction with the historic racing at Daytona. They start off with a nice long drive thru the country and then end up at a nice restaurant/bar for dinner that night, and it's near a karting track. Then they have an area set up in the infield for SAAC parking for anyone who shows up, another dinner that night and the Sunday is an "on your own day", or people leave to head home. Pete Geisler of Orlando Mustang, www.orlandomustang.com, is the organizer, and he'll eventually have details up on his webpage and I'm sure in the SAAC newsletter. He's had good turnouts the past two years, and I think it's growing, which is great.

I believe a new event is in the works, above and beyond the regional meet.

Rick Kopec, at the SAAC-32 dinner, alluded to the re-institution of a National Winter meet, saying that the first one may be in Florida... but no further facts were revealed.
