Is there a way to verfy that the Registry has the info that has been sent in a few years ago to see if the info is correct. I sent my info in on my 68GT500 several years ago and I would like to know if the Registry has the correct info before I get the new updated Registry and find out that the info was not updated.

Gary, there was an article in the October 2006 SAAC newsletter titled Catch-22 saying among other things that SAAC registrars are extremely busy right now. You can refer to the article for more information about submitting information to SAAC but here's the last paragraph.
Even though you sent your information a few years ago, I assume this information would apply to your inquiry as well. Best of luck.

If they are so busy maybe they need to spread out some of their work. The registor for the 68, 69, and 70s is the same guy. I know the SAAC site said at one time that you could order the new registry but when I just checked on it again from thier site it doesn't come up, just back orders of the clubs mag are avaible. I know they had the registry availbe at a pre-order price before, but now nothing, and I was just wondering if anyone has heard whats going on.

Promptness on ANYTHING...Registry, Magazine or Snakebite is not their forte...and if you call them on it they get very defensive. I dropped out for a while because I didn't like the attitude at HQ...that was back when they were making the "SAAC Mustang"...remember that one? I will say that the 67 Registrar (David Mathews) has been VERY helpful.

I know what you mean, I joined in 78 and got my first Shelby in 79. I used to wait by the mail box for the Mag. they kept comming later and later and they went from 6 a year to 4 a year down to 2 a year. It seemed all the money that they made went to the Shelby Convention. Well I like to read about Shelbys and that was the only show it town, so I droped in and out a few times, but I haven't been a menber for about 10 years now. But I have all three Registrys. I haven't seen a Snakebite for awhile, they used to have them on this site but they stoped that too.

Does someone know what number was the last Shelby American? Not sure if I missed one or not. Randy

Well Well well! I forgot all about this tread! all the commotion going on with SAAC got their eyes open. there is an online forum now and it has a section called Ask the Registrars. their Web site also is undergoing a major revamping. and this is just the beginning of many more "much needed and long overdue" Improvements. the responsibilities involved with the day to day operations had grown bigger than the people running the Club. apparently some highly motivated individuals have invaded SAAC HQ and will not leave until everything is in super high gear!!
