We would take a $5 bill, fill the 65 Mustang coupe, spend the nite cruising Shoney's for chicks and finish the evening with a strawberry pie and coffee. Never spent the whole five bucks. Gas was around $.21a gallon, but I only took home $33 every two weeks as an E-1, USAF. Remember when a dollar's worth of gas would get you three gallons and home? Now three dollars worth of gas gets you a gallon and maybe 20 miles.
