Shelby Mustang Email List ------------------------------ OK Shelby dudes, especially the computer guru's...... I know it's not mechanical or directly connected to the machine, but I request your assistance. I now that some of you didn't care for the video, but IT IS A SHELBY and the 68 looks just like mine with the exception of the manual transmission scenes. Here's where I need your help. I am trying to download the video to my hard-drive from some point or another and have yet to figure any way or any access to do so. Any Ideas????? I'd like to have it for my grandkids when they grow up..... Any help would be appreciated... Shelby Mustang Email List ------------------------------ Dan, What you are trying to do is a multi-part process. Here is one way of accomplishing that (though there are probably several). First - you need to either have software to capture the YouTube video or go to a site that performs that function for you. I chose to use the site: http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php This site is Video Downloader 2.0 Type in the address link you sent the group at the top where it says Download direct from most video sites: Add the fact that the link is from Youtube in the right hand window. On the page that comes back click the Download Link button and when the small window appears - Save the file to your Desktop or someplace easy to get to to work with this file later. Notice that this file has an extension .flv Once you have the download, you may replay it using an FLV player (there's a link to download one on the last page you were on) OR you can go about converting the file into something more usable. I used a demo of a $20 program called Replay Converter (though I'm sure there are several out there). You can find it at: http://www.applian.com/replay-converter/ Note: if you use it in Demo Mode it has a Demo Banner splashed across the face of the video (see attachment). I did NOT purchase the product, at the time I did this I was only trying to determine if the car was a 67 or a 68 (it's a 68!). I actually used ANOTHER program to capture the still shots, but that's another story.. The program gives you the option of generating several types of files out the back end. My choice was a .wmv for Windows Media Player but use whatever you are going to play it in later. If you can receive a 3.62MB file in email, I will send you a copy of the wmv file with the Demo banner to your personal mail account. jim _____ From: shelbymustang-bounces (AT) thecarsource (DOT) com [mailto:shelbymustang-bounces (AT) thecarsource (DOT) com] On Behalf Of Dan Drury Sent: Thursday, July 20, 2006 10:42 AM To: 15CARMEMORIES Subject: [Shelbymustang] Help Needed - Clarkson / Shelby video OK Shelby dudes, especially the computer guru's......
