Shelby's old team-mate at LeMans, not Roy Salvadori, who was his co-driver the year he won, 1959, but another bloke on the same team, Sir Stirling Moss , recently drove in some celebrity race at the 24 Hours of LeMans just the other day. This special celebrity race was only one hour, but it is pretty interesting that Moss was in good enough shape to drive a car like the one he competed in so many decades ago. His co-driver was Dr. Ultrich Bez, who heads up Aston Martin, a company just sold by Ford for close to $900 million. Moss' role during the '59 race was to be the "rabbit" running fast and hard to tempt the Ferraris into chasing him and breaking in the process. That worked for awhile until the Moss entry broke but at least enough Ferraris broke trying to catch Moss that it cleared the way for Shelby.
