Hi Guys I tried to send this through before but didn't get posted.

I am shipping my 69 GT 500 back to the States (Portland Oregon). I have been quoted around 3% of the total value of NZ$250,000 which I find a bit heavy for a 6 week trip from New Zealand. Any of you have suggestions on international insurers.

    Thanks

clone back to the USA from England last fall. The bare-bones coverage
(if the boat sinks) was 1/2 percent of stated value, while the
all-singing, all-dancing policy (including payment for damage during
shipping) was more like 1.5 or 2 percent of stated value.

Go to www.movecars.com, which is a clearing house for car shipping
companies; the international shippers are listed at the bottom. I
don't know if any of them handle shipping from outside the USA back to
the USA, but they can certainly give references?

FWIW shipping from Europe to the USA was almost double the cost of
shipping from the USA to Europe--all in higher taxes and fees...

Oh New Zealand wants your butt on this one hell! It will cost me around
$10,000 just to ship it. But if you ship form California to here it is only
around $5,000. I put the car in Auction here to allow it to stay but didn't
quit meet my reserve here. So I am loading it home. Here are the auction
    details if you are interested.

Anyway I have to sort it soon as they are coming to pick up my household
goods. Christ I may just have to find a job now.
    Regards

    Randall
