What is the correct color of the inside of the side scoops on 68 Shelbys? Most photos I see it looks dark inside the scoops, is that shadow or flat black paint?

My scoops had a lot of red overspray on them on the inside after the red trim. The color of the car is currently General Lee reddish orange, and am fixing to get the car repainted to the original candy apple red.

Should be black just like the blackout under the hood sprayed with scoop on car. Upper scoops are blacked out on front opening only. Use 3/4" masking around front of opening and spray in place.

Thanks TLEA. Painted the inside of the Scoops. Looks a lot better.

You mentioned underside of the hood. I looked up on the Nevada shelby club site and they show 69-70 as having a blackout on underside of hood as an option. I like the looks of black, was it an option in 1968?

Nope. The 68 KR's ram induction chamber was black but other than that no. Some early 67's had black underside also.
