Whew! I think we have found and solved the problem. Found one of the A shaft nuts a little loose and re-greased the upper control arms with the weight off the suspension. Surprising how much grease they took. Result? Squeaks are gone, for now anyway. Will re-grease them every couple of weeks until we are absolutely sure they have enough to prevent further squeaks. Those loose a-arm nuts have always scared me. I have tack welded mine in the past. Must have cold water close by to cool immediately in order not to damage the o-rings. Import Agent Hi Guys Does anyone know of a reputable agent in Portland Oregon who can handle Customs for me after the car arrives 20th of June. Also Iwill need to get it insured and registered etc. Thanks Randall
Greg: Pete Geisler tells me thay always tack weld those nuts on driver cars only. One of mine was loose about 1/4 to 1/2 turn, just enough to help it squeak a little. I used to tack the nut in on the inside with a small taco on all cars cant see it and can grind it off if need be bob
yes a small taco on all the cars is good a small tac on the inside of the upper arm is better damm auto spell correct bob
