    To whom it may concern,
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Gene Bennett. I am a simple man with a lot of irons in the fire right now, one of them being a second deployment to Iraq. I've had a great deal of difficulty getting this question answered. It has to do with getting a shelby cobra for those of us serving in Iraq through the military exchange program. However, I have had absolutely no success in this endeavor. I started out calling Shelby Enterprizes and talking to a receptionist and got absolutely nowhere. I then tried setting up a profile here on Shelby Forums and ended up passing along what information I coul find to someone in the Shelby Enterprizes hierarchy named Amy B (a president of some kind), and not only did I receive no reply, but my profile was erased. So I'm making one last attempt to get this question answered, is there any way we can get Caroll Shelby Enterprizes and Exchange New Car Sales (ENCS) together to hook up something nice for those of us who persevere through the crucible that is Operation Iraqi Freedom?

    My Sincerest Thanks,
    Gene Bennett

This site is not directly affiliated with Shelby Enterprises. The Amy B you referred to is Amy Boylan. She is president of Shelby Autos. I would recommend trying to contact her again. Perhaps some one else here would have a better suggestion.

What branch of the service are you in? My son was in the 101st Airborne during the initial invasion of Iraq.

    Greetings DeLaRob,
I'm an individual augmentee (red headed stepchild) who has served with an MP Bn., a Field Artillery unit doing convoy security, and I'll soon be with another unit here in Iraq, hopefully doing some honest to God vehicle maintaince. Oh, I almost forgot to mention: Oops, wrong forum (I thought it was all one forum, I was on the Shelby automotive forum, pardon my computer illiteracy), sorry about that.

I guess, I don't understand what you are trying to do? You want them to send a car to Iraq? For free? I am not even going to go into what that sounds like to me and I think I am as patriotic as the next guy.

Alright, check it out, here's the deal. I want to see if Shelby Automotive would collaborate with Exchange New Car Sales (ENCS) so we could purchase a Shelby Cobra through ENCS because there are some nice perks to be taken advantage of if this were possible. Now I might be a little bit spiritually and emotionally fried right now, but first of all, I would not ask for a car that nice to be brought to a war zone, and second, as a soldier, I'm too proud to ask for a hand out!!! Does that clarify things?
