OK, this may sound a bit strange, but then I never claimed to be on the normal side. Everyone who knows me, knows I perfer to play outside the Box. So, here is my Request. I need about 100 super nice photos of Shelby's, Shelby's in Action, Carroll Shelby, Shelby Prototypes, The photos need to be clean and crisp and focused when blown up to 9" x 8". You can email them to me at tesgt500e@yahoo.com. The project that I am doing is: Some of you know that I own MESTENGO F/X, Inc. (formerly MUSTANG F/X) where I built Tribute Edition Shelby Mustangs under contract with Carroll Shelby Licensing, Inc. I have a 2005 Tribute Edition Shelby G.T. 350 Coupe that is the 40th Anniversary Edition. I have been trying to decide what to do for Stripes, either Super Snake style or Lemans. Well......... I came up with the idea of 9" wide Lemans Stripes using a special Vinyl Graphics Material where I can print Photos on to it. You guessed it, Lemans Stripes are are made up of 40 Years of Shelby (1965 to 2005). The photos will be converted to B&W before they are printed onto the Vinyl. My car is Sonic Blue Metallic with Silver Metallic Graphics so I think the Lemans Stripes will stand out perfectly and be a major atraction at the Car Shows. If you can, please help me out by sending me some cool Photos, specially vintage Photos. Thanks. David.
Sounds like a cool idea. The problem you may run into is copyright with all the vintage-type photos. You pretty much have to "own" them in order to use them on your own property.
I would also like to have photos of Shelby's on the Track (several together) as well as some photos of the Shelby Series 1. David.
