I read the publicity release about the origin of the Terlingua Racing Team but don't recall if it mentioned a Boy's School or Boy's Ranch which I thought I heard mention of back in the Sixties. Was there ever such an institution or was that just an inside joke, i.e. telling the wife "We're going to the Boy's Ranch" where some might think "school for homeless boys. "

When I hear "boys ranch" I think of the famous orphanage that had the slogan "he ain't heavy, he's my brother" but when I hear about Terlingua chili cookouts I hear about starlets, alcoholic beverages, fast cars and motorcycles , in other words grown-up boy stuff.
