    thanks Steve........pretty cool !! they seemed to have a '..?...mobile' for
    most things back then didn't they......the only relatively modern one (excuse the term for those of us not relatively modern) i can think of around now is the 'Pope-moblie'....... i don't want to hijack the thread but what others were made or are around today........

    My video tells the story but basically it was a "Kustom" Kar built by George Barris for Vox (Guitars and Amps etc.) in 1968. Previously belonged to country star Jimmy Bryant and was bought by a music store owner here in Denver in 1980. He has passed and the car was collecting dust until a friend and I recently bought it.

    Based on all the info here I think it's not a Hipo. Thanks all, that was a really nice welcome to the forum and really helpful. I hope to have something very cool pretty soon.
