Greetings from me a recent newbie. I have had a 1968GT350 for some time now and am in the mood to sell. THe car has 85,000 miles. I am wondering how I should price the car. Can anyone ask me a series of detailed questions, look at pics, ect. to help me come up with a price. I will have the vin and the Marti report. THe car has not been restored. It was repainted in the 80's from green to white. It is mostly original other than the 4 speed tranny swap to get rid of the automatic. The car is in very clean daily driving condition w/ a nick here or there. I have baby coming and need to cash out. Thanks, dennis
Re: thinking of selling The more info provided will help generate a more accurate estimate of price, including car history, originality, etc. Sounds like a solid car from your limited description. I think a color change would negatively affect the value but white is a popular color so maybe not. I think most would say that the tranny swap negatively affects the value but I would rather own a swapped 4 speed rather than an original auto. And I would rather own an original 4 speed than a swapped 4 speed. So, I guess that should drop the value. Basically, I don't have a clue what the value would be so all I can offer is my personal perspective about the tranny and paint change. I'm sure others will be able to chime in and help you out with an actual value. Good luck with your sale! Randall
www.carsonline.com you might get a clue there as to how much they go for. I would list it in a high population area in your area on craigslist and ask about 70k and cash only or "you get the car and title when the cashier's check clears." Be very concise in your description and you should be fine.
Getting your documents in order is important. I think somewhere in the 65-75,000 range is where youare going to fall. Hopefully, you saved the parts that were removed.
