Well I took a peek at the Team Shelby website to give it a test drive. At the Team Shelby web site I opened up the newest threads posted on the site. Every new post regarding a Shelby was geared to a 2007 and up Shelby. I understand the site is dedicated to ALL Shelbys but its always nice to see a little diversity .Reviewing the site even further showed me that the site has many many members that own newer Shelbys. Thats not a bad thing but when it comes to tech info and guys who have their hands in older Shelbys well it seems obvious the SHELBY FORUMS is many steps ahead of the Team Shelby site. It's going to take some time before the early model Shelby owners migrate over there and become members of the new Team Shelby and begin to add helpful posts and insight. I'm a SAAC member and always will be. I will probably join Team Shelby as well because I always like to keep my doors open. I'm sure in time Team Shelby will get it together. I think I will go over there today and post a 67 Shelby topic to add some color to the menu. Just my opinion.... Jim
Thanks Jim, as an FYI, the new site doesn't launch till January 11th, I will be merging 3 forum sites and historical data and info from these sites. I hope Vintage guys join to help us keep the site viable to old and new. Thanks again Amy
Amy, will you be putting the Shelby Autos forum into the New Team Shelby site?? as you already know I got on that Forum when I was awaiting my 2007 Shelby GT. nothing better than having a Forum by the MFGR., for the Customers to commiserate with the President about their car! and spin new ideas with one another as well. I was one of only a couple folks who posted on the Vintage section. and understandably so. It is geared toward the New Shelby cars! I tried to get some modern talk going on here, but www.stangsunleashed.com has that area covered. and from there Team Shelby's site will feed off of. Brilliant Plan. You are "Fast Tracking" for success. given the right ingredients, it will be a winner! Corporate Mergers happen everyday. kind of like buying an existing business, giving it a Make over and delighting all of the Old and new Customer's at the same time. It is a sound business plan that has proven effective time and time again What many people do not realize is that these Forums take years to grow. by combining existing forums with one another, you leap ahead of the slow and sometimes painful Growth period that they have already endured. I have been on this site for almost 3 years now. Randall got it started pretty much by himself. Robin and the other new Moderators have been keeping things positive and that is how we like it around here. In the last year we have really gotten a steady 24/7 flow of members and guests all talking about Carroll Shelby and the cars and people lives he has impacted directly as well as indirectly.
Hi David, yes I will be incorportaing the shelby autos forums as well, as they seem to cover more of the new shelby GT then the other sites, I will also use all the tech data and info we have from older sites and sometime next month see what else we need. I am sure we will be light on Vintage as Shelby autos didn't really do web sites much before I came. I hope to have one where it is informative fun, like this one Amy
Hi Amy, Will the new Forum be set up like this one is? This one is so much easier to navagate. I like how I can read all the Posts with out have to open each one up. Thanks. David.
