Tires and suspention for a 1969 GT 350

Discussion in 'Shelby Mustang List' started by GT350HZ@aol.com, Jul 25, 2005.

  1. I have some questions about what people have done or know of that would be
good for a 1969 GT 350. I am not bidding on the 1969 GT 350 body currently on
    ebay.
First is what would you recommend for tire size for 15" wheels?
Second is I would need to replace the front springs or cut them to lower the
front end an inch or two. Anyone have experience with this? I've heard of
using GT 500 springs is one possible solution without hurting the ride too
much. Also, if I lower the car two inches is there any special alignment
issues I need to be aware of?

Are there any 16" wheels that are similar to the original style, and if so
what would a good tire size be for a 16" wheel?

I will be asking more questions, if everything works out.
    Thanks Lee 66 # 869
