I know it's hard without a picture..but here goes. Maybe by the description alone somebody can identify this vintage racing Cobra that races in the vintage events in the U.S. maybe up in Washington State

It's Guardsman blue, two fat white stripes with big roundel on hood that says "8".
It has a plexiglass windscreen for the driver only
It has blue racer's tape covering the headlights
It has a large size Quik-Fill snap open gas cap on the right rear
It has a separate oil cooler scoop
It has two spun aluminum rear view mirrors, one on driver's side, and one in the center of the dash
It has rivets on the hood about 7 per side
It has a black roll over hoop, wearing lots of inspection stickers
It has a hood scoop but even the scoop continues the stripes across it, with a thin blue stripe between the two fat white ones

Here's the distinguishing feature I have never seen on another Cobra--it has two holes cut in the hood, running longitudinally, about 3-4" wide and 8" long , each with rounded corners.

I would like to think this was a race car built that way by the factory or am I wrong? Is it a genuine CSX3000 series car? Can you say who runs it in vintage racing?

I am asking because I want to buy pictures of the car but want to be sure what I am looking at. Thanks Vintage Racing fans

Sounds to me like you are describing CSX 3006, which used to reside in the Pacific northwest. It is now in northern CA and restored to a former incarnation, white/ black with RHD.
