    Hi
To settle an argument , I want to prove that Hemmings once ran a full page
ad by some branch of the U.S. gum'mint to sell CSX3015 which they had confiscated on a tax matter. I remember the ad had a picture of the car, in black and white and the SN and was full page. If you have this ad and can fax it to me, please let me know at Photojournalistpro@hotmail.com
In return I will send a selection of glossies from old archive photos for you to keep.
Incidentally CSX3015 is the same twin Paxton 427 automatic Cobra thatCarroll Shelby had built for himself. I first saw it at a shop called Mike Fennell's (sp?) in Simi Valley when it was still "hidden away."

Hope to hear from a better packrat than me that saves old Hemmings!

Got it narrowed down to 1995 or at the worst, sometime in '94. This guess is based on the fact that the SAAC Register --the big thick black hardbound book containing all Cobra serial numbers known at the time it was published--says the car was sold in 1995 after the IRS confiscated it from Mr. & Mrs. James Webb. I remember seeing the ad in Hemmings , a black and white full page ad, and being surprised they had smoked it out of its hideway in the Northern San Fernando Valley.
