I remember seeing some pics of a Shelby Dakota that had a twin turbo 360 in it. It was a project that the Shelby plant in Whittier produced back in the day. Had some huge rear wheels and tires with fender flares. Anyone know whatever happened to that truck or have more info about it?
Saw the Red Twin Turbo around September 1993 when the now defunct Western Region - Shelby Dodge Automobile Club headed by Robert Lee, was granted a Tour of Carroll Shelby's Facility in Gardena, California. Saw that, Shelby Dakota #0001, and the White "Shelby Dakota" with different 'Shelby' graphics and a carbureted 360 V-8 mated to an A-727 Automatic Transmission. An awesome tour for sure!!
I saw it on TV last week. They did a tour of his shop that has been closed to public.I believe I also saw a stock one beside it.There was also a couple shelby chargers and a glhs charger on a shelf about 10 ft off the floor. 80% of the cars were mustangs
oh,it was one of those new shows on speed.I can`t remember the name right now.It maybe redline or something.
