I am wondering how I might get some info on undercarriage detailing on 69 shelby mustang.I am not necessarily looking for concours just some nice correct type clean-up, painting and primer. What books would be helpful, etc? maybe someone has some pics that would help greatly? I recently had it repainted and I'm not looking to disassemble.. thanks in advance. Roger 70 GT500
Roger - You need to figure out when your particular car was built as Ford shifted from red oxide to "mixture of the days painting" mix sometime around January 1969. I have some pixs of two different 1969 Shelby's that I would share with you - one done in red and one done in the "mixture" that (at least for that build day) looked like a gunmetal gray paint.. I also have a link to a website that has pixs of a MCA gold winner and SAAC premier car that you can look at as well - Just e mail me privately and I will be happy to share what I have with you.
