I will be using a floor jack and need to know the best spots for jacking car. Pix would be great. TIA Ed
When I wish to raise the rear. I put the jack under the center of the rear end housing and use a short piece of 2x4 and some shop rags for a cushion. To raise the front I put the jack with cushions under the tub that runs under the oil pan.
If you want to put it up on jack stands I put them under the front frame rails on either side using a pad of some sort to keep from denting the rails....its easy to dent them unless you use something between the jack and the rail. On the rear there is a good spot just inside of the front eye of the leaf spring OR just put the stands under either side of the axle housing...again use some padding if your housing is restored.
Hello Edward66GT350, I lift our shelbys at the back under the diff and the front were the radiator is the because u have the metal and then enogh room before the radiator. that's how i lift them, and that i think is the quickest and easiest way
