I just spent the Day at our local Ford Dealership because a couple of Ford Reps were there with a new Shelby GT 500 Convertible. I spent a good part of the day chatting with them and was shock at how much they did not know about what Ford was doing (Motor Trend seems to know more). I was also told that Carroll Shelby is supposed to be there, that he is on the list to be there. Has that changed?

McMichael Motorsports will be there, c'mon by our trailer and say hi. We're bringing the new Superformance GT40, a Daytona Coupe, and we'll have several Cobra owners in our corral. Hopefully we'll get a little track time, too! Look for our logo.

Despite the miserable heat, we had a great time at the MCA 30th. We were invited over by MCA to provide open track rides with our SPF cars, so we had 2 Cobras, the GT and the Daytona, and we gave a lot of riders some fun times. Had an Elvis impersonator along for a ride in the Cobra, luckily he didn't have his jumpsuit on, those wide lapels might have blocked the field of view. The car show area was loaded with great looking cars, thought the organization and layout was good, the facility always looks like that, good signage on where to go, etc. They could have done with more food vendors, the lines at lunch were brutal standing in that hot sun. Congrats to MCA for a great event. Hopefully some other folks attended and took photos, I didn't get much of a chance to do so. There were a few GT350/500's both new and old.
