Well people..... The Nascar "BUSH" Series should be interesting for the 2009 season. The Cars will be switched to the New Mustangs, New Camaros and the new Challengers. The Reason? So the Nextel Cup Drivers can not use the information they gained about the Track while driving Bush Cars on Saturday, when they are in the Nextel Cup Cars on Sunday. It should be interesting. I wonder if any of the Mustang Drivers will make their car look like the Shelby's.

If I was drinking milk when I read that, it would have shot out my nose! There isn't a lot of humor on these forums, but that actually made me laugh out loud! That was a good one.

Now would be a good time for him to think about getting into Nascar.......... The Bush series is still pretty cheap compared to the Nextel Cup.

I think that if Shelby got into NASCAR, he would end up competing against Ford with an almost identically looking car. What would differentiate them? Ford may not want the extra brand competition.

It has only been recently that NASCAR races four door.

Vern, Please re-read the posts....... Mustang, Camaro and Challenger are NOT 4 door cars. And as far as never being into Nascar......there is always a "First Time" for everything.
    David.

Actually, Ford could sponsor Shelby's Team.

    David,

What i am trying to say is that nascar is usually filled with boring four doors.
Shelbys are traditional road racing cars, they turn both ways.
Not really saying anything bad about nascar as i have never actually watched a full race, just saying it would be ridiculous to see shelby in NASCAR.
I know that alot of shelby purists would puke if they saw shelby in nascar.

    Best Regards,
    Vern

THere would be no reason for ford to sponsor shelbys team, why not just take the limelight for yourself.

You gotta have Money even before you get the Sponsors. Roush owns a couple of Nextel Cup Teams and Ford is one of the Sponsors for him so why not Shelby?

    Vern,
Lots of folks have this opinion, which is OK. It is pretty neat to see those NASCAR pilots throw their cars around tracks like Watkins' Glen and Infineon Raceway. Definitely not boring. Make sure you watch one of those races.

Once again, im not saying i have anything against nascar, its is just not something that i have ever taken the time to watch....much like how i dont like watching basketball of any sort, it just isnt the sport for me.

And dont get me wrong, im not one of those people who thinks that driving nascar is easier than other forms of racing, im really not that dumb.
Ive seen a race at watkins glen and i have to say it was cool, but nascar just isnt the form of racing that i like most.

    Best Regards,
    Vern
